What is a MacShaman?

  • Mac: An Apple Macintosh Computer.
  • Shaman: A practitioner of healing, by way of a standardized process or ritual.
In other words, a MacShaman is a healer of Macs through proven, systematic methods.

What is your coverage area?

We typically do onsite services in the Boston, Providence and Worcester areas, but we'll travel most anywhere if you're willing to foot the bill. We also offer remote support for clients nationwide.

What types of clients do you service?

Those who pay their invoices on time. More specifically: small/medium businesses, film and production companies, creative firms and executives.

My computer is down — should I bring it to you for service?

Nope. We'll come to you (or do the work remotely).

Do you do repairs?

Yes. We perform a full range of Mac desktop and laptop repairs, upgrades and parts replacement not covered under warranty or post-warranty expiration.

Do you offer AppleCare support and repairs?

No, although we're happy to diagnose and manage the process of having your machine repaired under the AppleCare Protection Plan. A nominal intake and handling fee applies. Learn more about AppleCare.

Do you sell or buy used equipment?

We sell used and refurbished Macs, various components and networking gear as it becomes available to us. We buy used and non-functioning equipment if we think it can be revived into something productive or salable. Contact us to see if we have what you need or if you have something we might want to buy.

What should I do with my old computer?

Repurpose it. Some ideas: file server, kids' computer, guest computer, giant doorstop. Or recycle it — we charge a nominal handling fee of $25 to take it off your hands.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry general and professional liability, including errors and omissions. You can confirm our coverage by visiting TechInsurance Verification.

Are your service providers Apple Certified?

Yes. Each of our service providers holds one or more Apple certifications, such as Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist (ACHDS), Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) and Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC).

Do you accept credit cards?

Indeed. Visa, MasterCard and American Express all work for us.
